India is justly proud of her rich wildlife, and our 17-day journey provides a glimpse of the abundant variety of fauna to be found in northern India, with visits to the world-famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, and to the National Parks of Bandhavgarh and Kanha, the latter providing Kipling with the inspiration for his famous 'Jungle Book'.

Day 01
Arrival Delhi:
Met on arrival by PCTI representative. Traditional welcome with garlanding and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02
Delhi / Ranthambhor (By Train):
Morning departure by Golden Temple Express to Ranthambhor - famous for the wildlife sanctuary, which is said to have the India's friendliest Tigers considered to be the best place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat, a wonderful place for bird watching too.

We arrive by lunch and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03
In Ranthambhor:
Morning and afternoon game drives in the park. The park, which is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country, is the main attraction of Ranthambhor. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04
In Ranthambhor:
As day 03.

Day 05
Ranthambhor / Bharatpur (225 Kms - 05 hrs):
After breakfast we drive to Bharatpur - lying between the cities of Agra and Jaipur in the north-west is famous for Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary which is a home to an astonishing range of flora and fauna. An abundance of birdlife is found here, including the open-bill and painted stork, egret, darter, white ibis, spoonbill, grey heron, Sarus crane, cormorant, migratory geese, duck, rosy pelican and the rare Siberian crane.

Arrive Bharatpur by evening and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06
In Bharatpur:
Morning have a completely rewarding experience of seeing an overwhelming range of birds during the rickshaw ride into the Keoladeo Ghana National Park.
Evening enjoy the rickshaw ride in the local market of the city. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07
Bharatpur / Agra (56 Kms - 01 hrs):
After breakfast at the hotel we leave for city of Taj, Agra enroute we visit the evocative city of Fatehpur Sikri - Built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century, it is a veritable fairytale city built of red sandstone, and its "ruins" are in pristine condition.

Arrive Agra by lunch and check inn to the hotel. After lunch we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It's a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone - undoubtedly the highlight of the tour. Later we tour the imposing Agra Fort - built of red sandstone and marble is a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08
Agra / Jhansi / Orchha / Khajuraho:
Morning we board the Shatabdi Express train to Jhansi, where we disembark and visit the fortified town of Orchha. In the afternoon continue drive  4hrs to Khajuraho and transfer to the hotel.

Khajuraho - the legendary temples of Khajuraho built in the 9th and the 10th century are an incomparable experience. Acknowledged as one of the world's artistic wonders. Khajuraho has achieved fame for the sensual appeal of its erotic sculptures. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09
In Khajuraho:
Early morning game drive in Panna Tiger Reserve. Later we visit the superb 10th century temples of Khajuraho. Rest of the day is free. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10
Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh (240 Kms - 05 hrs):
A long drive today takes you to Bandhavgarh National Park - is a premier wildlife preserve in the Vindhya mountain range of Central India. Originally the private reserve of the Maharajah of Rewa, this National Park has been established for over twenty years and offers excellent game viewing, with the possibility of sighting tiger, leopard, gaur, nilgai, wild boar and sloth bear. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11
In Bandhavgarh:
Morning and evening jungle visits in jeeps. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12
In Bandhavgarh
: As day 11.

Day 13
Bandhavgarh / Kanha (325 Kms - 07 hrs):
Drive to Kanha National Park, a 'Project Tiger' reserve which covers a wide area of valley and thick forest, rich in birdlife with over 300 different species. It is famous for barasingha (swamp deer), blackbuck, jackals, langur, leopard and, especially, tiger.

Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 14
In Kanha:
Morning and evening jungle visits for tiger tracking, nature watch or birding. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15
In Kanha:
As day 14.

Day 16
Kanha / Nagpur (280 Kms - 06 hrs):
Morning drive to Nagpur and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17
Nagpur / Delhi (By flight):
Morning flight back to Delhi. Arrive and transfer to the hotel for day use only. Evening transfer to the international airport to Board your homeward flight or connect to your onward destination.
